Carla Andrea Negron
Culinary Director
Being creative with food and offering innovative guest experiences is what Carla most enjoys about her role as Culinary Director. She knows what she’s talking about, with 20 years working in foodservice and 8 years in senior living communities.
She’s not only prepared and served delicious cuisine in her career, she’s studied it as well.
Carla was a chemistry professor at Nuestra Senora de La Paz University, and owned a factory which produced desserts and supplied baked goods to ten grocery stores in La Paz City. She also produced breakfast and lunches for local schools there.
Raised by her grandmother, Carla says seniors have a special place in her heart. For her, communication is a key core value. “Communication is key for success, and it’s also important to work as a team. I care about my peers and welcome new ideas that make our residents and peers happy.”
Carla received a Bachelor of Science in Food Engineering-Food Science and Technology from Nuestra Senora de La Paz University in Bolivia, and is CDM-CFPP (Certified Dietary Manager/Certified Food Protection Professional). She is happily married to husband, Yarko, and has two children, Nubia and Diego, as well as a “cute dog” named Capucchino.
She likes to listen to music and dance, and Forrest Gump is her favorite movie. Perfect vacation? Traveling around Europe.
