Flor is happiest when she can make others happy, which is really what life engagement is all about. “I have the privilege of designing and coordinating activities, events, and outings that bring energy, connections and joy to our residents. I most enjoy seeing them fully engaged and happy,” she says.

Inspiration comes to Flor daily, who grew up with her grandmother and has always held a deep admiration and respect for the wisdom and joy seniors bring to life. “Creativity and compassion are the values that resonate with me the most,” says Flor. “I love finding innovative ways to inspire and connect with others while ensuring their needs and dreams at the heart of all that I do.”

It's no surprise that Flor considers herself a big dreamer who loves seeing the positive side of life. Her favorite movie is “Hidden Figures”, because it reminds her that we are all capable of achieving the impossible. “Love to try zip-lining through a rainforest someday!” she says.

As well as senior living, Flor brings experience in customer service, publicity, management, event coordination, logistics, teaching children to read and write, and more. She is mother to two amazing daughters and a joyful wife to a soccer-loving husband.

In her spare time, Flor enjoys spending time with family, playing table games, watching mysteries, and planning her next adventure. Perfect vacation? Returning to her home country of Guatemala where she says “there’s always something new to discover.”
