Amanda Gill

Executive Director

With so many amazing older adults in her life, Amanda’s passion for working with seniors started early. Her grandmother (who volunteered, travelled, and even snowmobiled) into her later years, taught Amanda that “age does not limit or define you.” Other influences included a mentor from a local CCRC who urged Amanda to enter senior living. That first job with a retirement community became a career.

At Modena Reserve, Amanda brings 12 years of previous experience in the role of an executive director and 20 years of leadership experience in senior living operations. Throughout her tenure with Solera Senior Living, Amanda has built trusted relationships with residents and families, supported and developed team members, and fostered a culture rooted in compassion, accountability, and care. As a longtime Solera Mentor, Amanda has helped guide and support leaders across the organization.

“What I value most about being an Executive Director is the opportunity make a meaningful difference in people’s daily lives,” Amanda says. “This role allows me to influence not only the quality of care residents receive, but also the culture and support we provide to our team members. I find it incredibly rewarding to build a community where residents feel safe, respected, and engaged, and where staff feel empowered, supported, and proud of the work they do.”

Amanda received a BA in Psychology and Minors in both Gerontology and Sociology from McDaniel College. She also has a MS in Applied Gerontology from Towson University and received National Certification as an Assisted Living Director.

In her leisure time, Amanda is a serious fan of Maryland Terps men’s and women’s basketball, Baltimore Ravens, and Baltimore Orioles. Ever versatile, she can recite the 50 U.S. states in alphabetical order, and play both the alto and baritone saxophone.

The beach is Amanda’s happy place. “Cracking crabs and reading a book on the beach is the best!”
