Working in several restaurants over the course of his career taught Nikol leadership, discipline, and the importance of teamwork under pressure. He uses these skills every day as Culinary Director at Modena Reserve, where supporting and caring for residents is very important to him.

“What I most enjoy is building real connections with residents; listening to their stories, learning from their experiences, and being a positive part of their daily lives,” says Nikol. “I am here to ensure they feel safe, valued, and respected.” Memories of a beloved elder inspire his deep respect for seniors.

For Nikol, compassion comes first. “When we lead with compassion, everything else naturally follows: better communication, deeper trust, and more connection.”

When he’s not sharing his exceptional culinary talents, Nikol might be found painting, exploring nature, and spending time with his family and friends. “I love painting inspired by French Impressionism and how it expresses emotions through light, color, and movement.”

Perfect vacation: somewhere peaceful and inspiring. “Maybe a small coastal town in Europe, with art, good food, and time to paint and relax by the sea.”
